What is JR Cares?

JR Cares is our purpose-driven corporate giving programme, dedicated to giving back to our clients, colleagues, and community. 

At Joslin Rhodes, we believe in making a real difference by supporting local causes, fostering employee experiences, and showing appreciation to those who matter most to us.

Through JR Cares, we channel our resources and enthusiasm into initiatives that benefit Teesside, the place we proudly call home.

Through JR Cares, we are proud to support a variety of local charities that make a meaningful difference in the Teesside community. 

Since we officially launched the programme in Summer 2024, we’ve already raised over £5,000.00 for very worthy causes.

St. Teresa’s Hospice Darlington

Delivering vital hospice care and support to individuals with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

Cash for Kids

Helping disadvantaged children and young people in the North East by providing grants for essential items and experiences.

South Cleveland Heart Fund

Supporting heart health initiatives and funding medical equipment for local cardiac care services through James Cook Hospital.

Rubies Charity

Empowering young girls and women in Redcar and Cleveland  by building confidence, resilience, and self-worth.

Middlesbrough Club Foundation

Enhancing lives through sports, education, and community outreach programs.

Teesside Family Foundation

Assisting disadvantaged families and individuals by providing financial aid and essential resources.

Age UK Teesside

Supporting older people in Teesside with companionship, advice, and practical assistance.

In Celebration of Miracle Baby 'Harry'

As part of our monthly JR Cares fundraising activities last October 2024, we raised money for Endometriosis UK (Teesside & Durham Support Group), a cause very close to our hearts. 

One of our colleagues and his partner faced the painful challenges of endometriosis—a condition that can make it incredibly difficult to conceive. 

After years of struggles and being told that having children may not be possible, they discovered they were pregnant during a routine scan – much to everyone’s surprise! 

And in August 2023, they welcomed their miracle baby boy Harry – and have never been happier!! 

During the challenging times before Harry’s arrival, the Teesside & Durham Support Group and the resources available through Endometriosis UK were invaluable. Helping them not only learn more about the condition but managing all the emotions that come with it.
